The world of 'Supernatural' deals with a lot of Christian beliefs, and many of its storylines rely heavily upon that. There's Heaven, Hell, God, Lucifer, demons and angels. Additionally, 'Supernatural' and 'The Vampire Diaries' each have very distinct mythologies where inhuman creatures, magic etc. are involved. This thread explains how we've merged Greek Mythology, Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries to fit our plot.

Gods are supposed to be immortal in the Myths and yet we've seen Sam and Dean kill or at least incapacitate multiple gods on the show. Lucifer even killed a group of Pagan gods. On our forum, gods cannot be killed, except by Archangels, God or another deity. They are immortal, but that doesn't mean that they are invincible and can't be harmed. We will later introduce certain weapons that can incapacitate the gods, leaving them immortal but powerless. The Greek deities on this forum are strengthened or weakened depending on the beliefs of humans. Because most humans now believe in 'God' from Christian theology, the Greeks were forgotten, seen as nothing more than legends and were forced aside. They grew weaker as 'God' grew stronger. With the gods now revealing their divine power to mortals, they are starting to regain their strength. The same goes for the select few Titans on the forum. 'God' from Christian theology doesn't show himself, and so a lot of humans have already begun to question his existence.
Heaven is just Heaven. It is the domain of God, his Angels and souls that are worthy of reaching paradise. In our plot, beliefs are important. Whenever something or someone dies, the soul of that being goes to Heaven, or Hell, - these are where most souls go and on the rare occasion that a person still believes in the Greeks and practices that religion, then the soul would be sent to the Underworld. If a monsters dies, they are sent to Purgatory, or become lost in a limbo known as 'The Other Side.' We will explain more about that further down.
The Underworld is ruled over by the Greek god 'Hades'. In The Underworld, there is the Greek's version of both Heaven, Hell and more.
Greek Counterpart for Heaven: That would be Elysium. Souls are sent here if they are especially distinguished or favored by the gods. Souls who did not commit any significant crimes, but who also did not achieve any greatness or recognition were sent to the 'Fields of Asphodel'. If a person worships the Greek gods, whenever they die, their soul is taken by a Reaper to the Underworld, rather than to Heaven.
Greek Counterpart for Hell: That would be the 'Fields of Punishment'. In our story, Hades has allowed Crowley to continue ruling over the Fields of Punishment/Hell due to a deal the two made. This is where souls are tortured until they eventually become demons.
On our Forum, all Supernatural Creatures are supposed to go to Purgatory whenever they die. However, just as some humans refuse to move on, the same can be said for supernatural beings. On The Vampire Diaries, you may be familiar with 'The Other Side'. This is supposed to be their version of the 'Supernatural Purgatory', however it is said that they believe some monsters are able to 'find peace' or move on, and in later seasons, certain creatures were even sucked into a black void. On this forum, the 'Other Side' is simply a state of limbo, where those who refuse to move on, have unfinished business or become lost now reside. It is the state between the living world and Purgatory. Purgatory itself was created by 'God' as a prison to hold the souls of monsters. It is a land without rule where the dead supernatural creatures spend all of eternity preying upon one another. Unfortunately, there is no Heaven for monsters. The only way they would avoid this were if they were specifically chosen by a deity to be sent to Elysum, which has happened before with the Greeks. As of now, there are no supernatural creatures in Heaven with the Angels. The thought isn't something that the Angels would even consider.
This is a big question that a lot of you may have: How are you integrating The Vampire Diaries into the world of 'Supernatural'? Their mythologies are different. That is true. There are notable differences with vampires and werewolves specifically within these two fandoms. However, witches for the most part, are similar. In Supernatural, there have been known to be different types of monsters. We are specifically speaking about Djinn. On this forum, we will be following that example, and there will also be different types of werewolves and vampires. The werewolves and vampires on from The Vampire Diaries will be descended from the two Original Bloodlines. The Original Vampires and the Original Werewolves. Both of these bloodlines were created by magic, unlike their counterparts in Supernatural which were created by Eve.
However, the Original Werewolves were created by a different magic than the Vampires. On our forum, the werewolves from The Vampire Diaries are descended from the man that Zeus cursed. If you would like to read more on this myth, you can find it: HERE. We are going with the 'First Version' of the Myth that you will find in that link. Also - for vampires and witches from 'The Vampire Diaries, you may be interested in knowing that on our forum, the goddess Athena introduced the Lapis Lazuli gemstone to witches, which led to some discovering that the gem could be enchanted and used to protect vampires from sunlight.
